Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico, was born to the music-loving parents of her family. Her early years were shaped by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos along with any dramatic performance. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her, she started more serious training in singing at 16 under the tutelage of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. As a student and young professional, she sang with many chamber groups and opera choirs in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. After relocating into the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current residence in southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. She is passionate about performing, music, and the arts keep active in community projects for both an artist as well as a educator. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher at the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to Inland Master Chorale members for the permission to sing the traditional Latin American song.
